"Rebuilding the Lord's House"
Wonder Words: Build With God!

During Session 2, we'll meet Zerubbabel and other workers who have returned to their homeland after being gone for two generations.  Most of their treasures are gone or have been destroyed.  They set to work to rebuild their church and their traditions so they can once again worship as a community.

Our vision verse is "We are the clay, and you are our potter.  All of us are the work of your hand."
Isaiah 64:8b

Meet Rivet!

Rivet is our handy ant friend who is going to help us at VBS!  He's so excited that you'll be joining us for VBS this year!  You can sign up here if you haven't already!

Rivet is so excited to share the story of Esther with you!  You will see how Esther used her imagination to save her people.  She foiled Haman's plan to get rid of all the Jewish people, including her family.  The vision verse for session one is from Psalm 105:2 "Sing to God; sing praises to the Lord; dwell on all his wondrous works!"

I hope you will sing to God this week!  Look around you and discuss with your family all the 'wondrous works' of God in your life!

Mother's Day!

Sunday, May 11th is Mother's Day! It is just around the corner!

In Proverbs 23:25 it says "Let your father and mother be proud of you; give your mother that happiness." (NCV)   When we think of all our mothers have done and are doing for us, how grateful we should be! What are some things you can do to help your mom this week?

  • give her lots of hugs & kisses
  • help with chores around the house
  • bring her breakfast in bed
  • surprise her with her favorite candy
  • have someone go with you to get her flowers
  • make her a homemade card
  • rub her back
  • offer to make dinner (with a helper, if needed)
These are just a few ideas!  I'm sure you and your family could come up with more things to bring Mom some happiness that God asks of us!

When you come to church on Sunday tell me what you chose to do or are planning to do for your special mom!

Have a great week!
